Fairytale

Fairytales are stories that are completely imaginary and cannot happen in real life. Although they are so unreal, they are liked among people of all age groups. The stories mostly are comprised of fairies from the sky or another world that have magical powers to do things that are impossible in real life. Mostly the fairytale stories are liked by children or young teenagers. Aside from fairies, these tales include characters like goblins, giants, elves, trolls, or gnomes. There are even some cultures where witches and demons are considered to exist, and they have stories about them. They quote the places and people with whom the events had happened in the past.

Fairytales are famous among people and are available in literal form, but many of them are just passed orally among the people. All the fairy tales exist around different characters and the idea of setting these characters at different situations. Mostly the characters are shown in the way that they exist and have a life of their own. The fairytales talk about the legends throughout history who provided their services in getting rid of witches and demons. They describe how those legends discovered magic from the hidden chests, which they dig up from the ground in caves. The adventures those legends endured while attaining there motives for getting rid of those demons may also be a topic of fairytales. Different stories have different characters. The characters and how they are used in the story give the story a pattern to follow. The world which is mostly created among all these stories includes talking animals, dragons, and dinosaurs.

Each character in the story is introduced along with his background, and most of the time the background of each character has a link with the coming story. Each country has its own fairytales in her native languages. Each country portrays their fairytales in the manner it is likely to be accepted among their peoples according to their cultures and beliefs. All the characters in the stories are described with details that make an image of their personality. This also develops an interest in the story. It is up to the writer of the story to appeal to his audience through the personalities and attributes of the characters. It is only the skillful work of the writer which makes people enjoy reading their stories. Fairytales may be in the form of short stories or in the form of long novels or books. All the stories revolve around good and evil, friends and their enemies. Although these tales are always filled with twists, the real skill of the fairytale writer is seen when he keeps the story interesting, yet reader never gets confused by the characters or sequence of events. That is why most of the fairytales are written in simple native language without introducing advanced words; this keeps the story simple and understandable.

New characters are introduced in each fairytale to prevent the stories from becoming predictable and monotonous, and the characters are selected keeping the religions and beliefs of the audience in mind. All the characters are explained in the stories at the time they are introduced to keep the reader’s attention focused on the event rather than first explaining all the characters and then starting with the story. The suspense is always kept through out the story until it reaches its climax. Thrill, suspense, action, love and emotion are required in the story at their perfect places to make it a classical fairytale. All of these attributes of the story bring real emotions in the story. These feelings make the story believable and get the reader involved in the story, as they feel the emotions of the characters in their minds. Fairytales are always filled with gestures to bring out the real emotions of the characters. The names of the characters are usually based on the nature of their characters. This also fascinates the reader while going through the story, creating images of those characters in the mind. This makes the reader emotional when anything happens to his favorite character.
