Interactive stories are fun to listen to

Interactive stories are the stories in which are based on the two way process. The communication takes place between two people. These are the stories which people start narrating and in between they ask few things and then they proceed. These stories are better as these are helpful in making the students learn things properly. Interactive stories are also known as the guided stories. This is also a name of a technique developed which used for teaching the students. These interactive stories are the stories which have both the content part and the questions part as well. These questions are there so that when a person reads the story to the other person they know the answer to these questions.

Best technique for teachers

This is a best technique for the teachers. They use it many times, they narrate stories to the students of the class and then they ask the students the answer to the question and this tells them that whether the students were listening to the teacher or not. The teacher can very well make a decision and can pick out the students who were listening to the story and who were not. Many a times, teachers narrate the stories to make them learn few things, the things which teach them the difference between the right and wrong, the difference between the good and the bad.

This is the best tool for the teachers as the teachers keep a track on the students in the mid of the story. The students listen to these stories with interest because they know that in between the teachers will ask the questions and they have to be attentive so that they the teachers don’t get angry on them when they stand silent and do not tell the answers. Interactive stories are also good because the teacher gets the feedback of the students. Some students also find this good because when they know the answers and when they raise their hand, they feel proud that they have listened to the story well and they know the answers very well.

If we keep the teacher student story aside and talk generally about people, we will find that people listen to interactive stories with interest so that they can tell the answers when asked in between. These stories are interactive and the story teller also feels good about telling the story because he know that while telling the interactive story , he is not only one who will be speaking rather at the time of question answer people will accompany him and this will end up as a good discussion.

How to make interactive story telling interesting

Now, the story teller wants to make the narration an attractive one. He thinks that what he should do in order to make it a beautiful story telling session. The best way to narrate the story is that one should add expressions to the story. One should mould the tone according to the scenes in the story. One should tell the story in such a creative way that everybody loves the story telling session. It is also very important that the story teller prepares himself/herself well for the story telling. The surroundings should be decorated in such a way that it gives the listeners the feeling of the theme of the story. It is a good thing to engage people in the story and this thing can only happen if the story teller shows the talent of story telling. Just reading a story like a newspaper will not make it interesting. Reading or telling an interactive story in a creative way with voice modulation and expression will solve the purpose.

Interactive story telling is always a two way communication, where more people speak and not just one and where the story teller also feels good as he knows that everyone is listening to everything that he is saying. Generating the interest is on the story teller. The more and more efforts the story teller will put on narrating the story, the more and more successful the story telling session is going to become. So, do your best as story teller and make it the best session of interactive story telling.
