Children Stories

All the stories that we read and like the best from our child hood were the short and long child stories. These stories are full of lessons and are especially good for children for building their personalities. For writing children stories a writer needs to develop a creative mind and adopt a method of writing which is easily understandable by the children. The different aspects which must be kept in mind while writing a story for children include vivid imagination, creativity and enthusiasm. Children mostly like colorful and attractive stories which amuse them to a great extent.

Types of Children Stories

All over the world there are different types of story books regardless of any culture or country. These story books can include stories of different fairies, imaginary tales, funny stories, inspirational stories, motivational stories, patriotic stories and different religious stories. These stories may include a blend of love, emotion, action, peace, friendship and brotherhood. Children stories are available in a wide variety depending on the characters and the situations for which they are made. Each author writes stories keeping with the aesthetic sense of the children of that era. Authors mostly cover all parts of life in their stories, like politics, crime, social relations, and families, so that the child also gets educated from the external world.

Writers can make a story which revolves around any part of life. The child stories are mostly comprised of fairies which come from the sky or another world and have magical powers to do what is impossible in real life. Mostly the detective stories are liked by children or young teenagers. Fairytales include characters like goblins, giants, elves, trolls, or gnomes, along with fairies. There are even some cultures where witches and demons are considered to exist, and they have stories about them. The authors quote the places and people with whom the events had happened in the past. These stories build confidence in children, making them feel that they can also fight with these creatures if they come in front of them, although such things never happen.

Elements of the Child Stories

Child stories are always full of lessons and are made keeping in view the psyche of a child. The child stories are written in such a way that they can be read by both children and adults. Care is always required to keep the stories free from slang, as children are quick learners and they might use the abusive language if they have learned it through some means. The stories are always written for children in the simplest language instead of using advanced words. The main purpose of stories is also to help a child get used to the native language in reading and comprehending. Children stories can be taken from situations that usually take place in one’s actual life.

Starting the story can be done easily, but the skill comes in how to end a story so that the flow of story does not have an absurd end. Children stories can be based on fictional characters or as on the real life of people. Usually children are amused by both of these types, unless the stories are not so ridiculously described. Mostly the novels or other books which are not usually written as a child’s story also contain some humorous characters to keep the child’s mood changing while he is reading. If the story does not have any blend of love, comedy, suspense and thrill, the child might very quickly lose interest in from the book and start taking the book as a boring one. Children stories come in all possible languages written by the native authors. The main purpose of all the child stories are to make them brave, developing habits of speaking the truth, telling the parents if they face some sort of difficulty, minimizing the feelings of hatred and revenge from others, and developing skills to learn and create things by themselves. Mostly the child stories have a happy ending because children do not like their favorite characters to lose in the end. Sad endings mostly disappoint the child and make him depressed. Therefore, child stories are always written while keeping in mind certain cautions.
